Graham Dwyer has lodged an appeal against his conviction for the murder of Elaine O’Hara.

Last month, the Foxrock architect was jailed for life for stabbing the childcare worker to death at Killakee Mountain in August 2012.

Between scheduled appearances, unsuccessful bail applications and a lengthy trial that ultimately led to his conviction, Graham Dwyer has been in and out of court rooms since his arrest in Oct 2013.

He now plans to return this time to the Court of Appeal after officially lodging his papers today which was the last day he could file.

His grounds for doing so aren’t known at this stage but issues relating to evidence extracted from phones, the testimony of key witness Darci Day and the impartiality of Mr. Justice Tony Hunt could all be raised by his lawyer who indicated his client’s intention to appeal the moment he was sentenced.
