There could be a crackdown on buying spray paint in a bid to tackle graffiti.
Some Dublin councillors want the sale of aerosols restricted to those over 16.
The proposal has been sent to the Department of the Environment for consideration.
It costs the four local authorities in Dublin around 600 thousand euro a year to clear all graffiti.
