The Finance Minister says some of those who lost medical cards in the review process will have them returned.
Michael Noonan's comments come as he spoke out for the first time after revealing he's been treated for skin cancer.
The 71-year-old says he's in reasonably good form, he needs to bring in two more budgets, and at this stage plans to contest the next election.
