Pressure is mounting on the Government over the eviction ban.
The Labour Party now says it will back a Sinn Fein motion to retain it.
It comes after Green Party TD Neasa Hourigan said over the weekend she'll go against the Government on Wednesday and will also back the motion.
Labour Leader Ivana Bacik says the party has its own legislation to retain it.
''We're assuming the Government will ensure the Sinn Fein motion is defeated even though we in Labour and across to Opposition are supporting it.
She added: ''In that case we in Labour are calling on the Government to adopt an emergency bill we are putting forward to see an extension of the eviction ban until there is an evidence based reason to lift it.''
