The Government's started decanting of its stash of wine.
It sold more than €11,000's worth to a private merchant last year.
The sale came after complaints that the Department was spending tens of thousands of euro every year buying wine for diplomatic guests.
The Department's figures show that over 60,000 euro worth of wine was still present in its cellars at the end of 2013.
