The World Health Organisation is urging people in Ireland to take extra care when level 5 restrictions are eased in order to avoid a third lockdown.
Government party leaders will meet today as discussions continue on how the country can exit level 5.
NPHET will meet on Wednesday, with an announcement expected either Thursday evening or early Friday.

Meanwhile, trials show the Oxford University vaccine is 70 per cent effective in preventing Covid-19.
Its trials, in conjunction with Astrazeneca, showed results ranging from 62 to 90 per cent depending on the dosage.
It's the third vaccine trial with positive results in recent weeks.
Immunologist Professor Luke O'Neill from Trinity College says it's exciting news.
