Good Weather Expected To Continue Until Wednesday

There won't be a break in the good weather until Wednesday, when it will get cooler.

Temperatures over the past couple of days have been in the low to mid-20s across the country - and that's forecast to remain the case today and tomorrow.

Rainfall levels are expected to be low, with a status red forest fire warning in place until tomorrow.

Irish Water, meanwhile, is encouraging people to conserve water where they can.

Liz Gavin, a forecaster with Met Éireann says the good weather will continue for a few more days.

She said: "It's really going to continue dry, warm and sunny.

"We're looking at temperatures today generally 21-22, up to 26 degrees.

"Overnight tonight, it's going to continue dry with some clear skies."

She said there may be a few millimetres of rain later in the week, but "probably not as much as some of the farming community would like".
