Gardai have begun questioning a man arrested in connection with the murder of a Dean Johnson in Clondalkin.
Dean Johnson was shot outside a house at Harelawn Green as he made his way home from a local pub on August 24 last.
He was shot several times in the head and body and many of the bullets were fired from close range as he lay on the street.
The suspected getaway car was set on fire at nearby Collinstown Crescent and witnesses described seeing three men running from it before it went up in flames.
As part of the investigation into his murder, a 24-year-old man was arrested in west Dublin this morning.
He was taken to Lucan Garda Station where he can be detained for a maximum period of seven days.
