An investigation is underway into an alleged hijacking involving a food delivery driver in Dublin on New Year's Day.
A man aged in his 20's reported that his motorbike was stolen during an incident on the Cheeverstown Road in Tallaght, just after 3 pm on Sunday afternoon.
He'd been carrying out food deliveries in the area when he was assaulted and forced from his motorcycle by a group of male youths on scrambler bikes.
One of them then drove away from the scene on the delivery drivers' motorcycle.
The injured man is continuing to recover from the incident and has since received medical treatment for his injuries.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses.
