Gardai at Pearse Street are investigating an assault in the city centre on St. Patrick's Day, which was captured on camera.
The video, which shows the young man being kicked in the head and in the face in broad daylight, has gone viral.
The shocking footage shows witnesses screaming as the attack takes place, with revellers running into the street to help the victim.
