Gardai have been granted more time to question a man in his 50s in connection with the Regency Hotel shooting.
3 men are now being held about the murder of David Byrne while one has been charged.
Dad of two David Byrne from Crumlin was shot dead at the Regency hotel in February while he was attending a boxing weigh in event.
Last Wednesday afternoon a man in his 50s was arrested for questioning about the shooting and earlier today a chief superintendent applied at the Dublin District Court for a warrant to be allowed 72 more hours to question him which the Judge has agreed to.
Yesterday evening, the court extended the period of detention for the two other men being questioned - who are aged in their 30s and 50s.
While a fourth man –24 year old Patrick Hutch of Champions Avenue – is due back in court next week after being charged on Wednesday evening with David Byrne’s murder.
