Gardai have foiled an apparent bomb plot on the Louth border.
Members of the Crime and Security unit carried out the operation in the Kilcurry area of County Louth this evening.
Five men, aged from their mid 50's to early 70's were arrested as part of the operation.
They're being held at Dundalk and Drogheda Garda Stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
Gardai also found a suspect device during the operation which is being examined by the Army Bomb Squad.
