Gardai are examining the scene of a fatal road crash in county Cork in the early hours of this morning.
It happened at Killeens in Blarney shortly before 2am, when the driver, a 24 year old man and only occupant of the car was killed when the vehicle struck a ditch.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Cork University Hospital where a post mortem will take place.
Motorists are advised that the road is closed and will remain closed until lunchtime today.
