No new information on the disappearance of a missing tourist has been found after searches in Santry Demesne this week.
Gardaí began the search for Jon Jonsson in an area of the park on Tuesday, following an anonymous tip-off in relation to the Icelandic man.
The Garda underwater unit and cadaver dogs were brought in to assist in the search of the area.
The park is around 3 kilometres from where Jon Jonsson was last seen in Whitehall on February 9th 2019, after he came to Ireland for a poker tournament.
One of the dogs detected something during the searches but Gardaí say the operation has yielded no further information.
They're continuing to appeal to the author of correspondence, that led to the searches, to come forward.
270 lines of enquiry have been looked at in connection with the case and Gardaí say the investigation remains open.
Investigators have taken “numerous statements” and hours of CCTV footage have been reviewed.
They are also urging anyone who has any information on Mr Jonsson’s disappearance or who can help to find him to contact them.
