A 31 year old man who was shot outside a creche in Dublin yesterday morning, is still in a critical condition in hospital today.
He was shot in the face by a masked gunman after dropping his son off at ten past nine.
Gardai revealed the victim is a well-known criminal who has previously been linked with the Real IRA.
This isn't the first time he's been shot, in January of last year he was shot in the leg at a housing estate in south Dublin.
No arrests have been made and Gardai are renewing their appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
