Gardaí are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Dublin city.
It happened in the Upper Gardiner Street area of Dublin 1 in the early hours of yesterday morning.
A man was taken to the Mater Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The scene was sealed off and examined by crime scene investigators.
A man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s were arrested and are being held at Mountjoy Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
People who were in the Gardiner Street area, between 2:45 am and 3:30 am yesterday morning, is being asked to come forward.
