Gardaí are renewing their appeal for information over the unsolved murder of Raonaid Murray in south Dublin, on the 25th anniversary of her death.

The 17 year-old was last seen alive at 11.20pm on the night of Friday, the 3rd of September 1999, when she made her way home from Dún Laoghaire town centre to get changed for a night out.

However she never made it.

Raonaid's body was found in the early hours of the following morning at Silchester Crescent in Glenageary, less than 500 yards from her home.

Despite 4,500 witness statements being taken to-date, there is still no motive.

Gardaí say solving the teenager's murder remains of the utmost priority, and they are still appealing for anyone who may have information to come forward.

All information should be directed to the Incident Room at Dun Laoghaire Garda Station on 01 666 5000 or 01 666 5012, or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
