A number of vehicles lost control and went off the road when a freak hail shower hit the M50 this morning.
The motorway was closed northbound at Junction 15 Carrickmines as firefighters and paramedics attended the scene.
Gardaí say three or four vehicles ended up in the central median -- but nobody was hurt.
Diversions were in place for a time, but Gardaí tweeted to say the northbound carriageway had reopened shortly before 9am.
