Planning permission has been granted for a controversial housing development in Raheny.
657 apartments are to be built on playing fields beside St. Anne's Park, despite major objections.
Locals felt the Foxlands complex was an over-development of the area.
They had called for a smaller number of houses to be built on the site instead.
The apartments will be built in blocks of up to nine storeys high.
Marlet Property Group said it is "pleased" with An Bord Pleanála's decision.
"At a time of severe housing shortage in Dublin it opens the way for the provision of 657 badly needed homes, close to the city, served by excellent public transport links".
