The dog pictured above was rescued from the M50 during the week.
A driver who helped to safely remove the whippet dog has hailed the 'team effort.'
The passer by told Dublin Live she came across the dog near Junction 5 Finglas and decided to stop traffic.
She said drivers were getting mad at the blockade but she waited on Gardaí who arrived to the scene quickly.
They were able to block off the road and bring the dog to safety, with the whole ordeal lasting about twenty minutes.
