A former soldier accused of attacking his girlfriend at Cathal Brugha army barracks has been sent forward for trial.
Darragh Baldrick, 24, then a member of the defence forces based at the barracks in Rathmines, is charged with assaulting the woman, causing her harm on May 9 last year.
He appeared again at Dublin District Court today when gardai served him with a book of evidence.
Judge Treasa Kelly granted an order sending the accused forward for trial on indictment to the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, where the case will be listed for mention on February 22.
He must notify prosecutors if he intends to use an alibi, and the judge ordered gardai to give copies of interview videos to the defence.
Legal aid was granted to Mr Baldrick, who has yet to indicate a plea.
Garda Brendan O’Callaghan said earlier that Mr Baldrick “made no reply after caution” when charged.
