Former Republic of Ireland footballer, Anthony Stokes, has appeared in court on drugs and dangerous driving offences.
There was no objection to his bail being extended while the Director of Public Prosecutions decides how to proceed with his case.
Anthony Stokes is accused of having cocaine in his possession on the 6th of January. More than that, he’s accused of having the drug in his possession for sale or supply.
He's also facing four dangerous driving offences which are alleged to have been committed at four different locations in Dublin, also on the 6th of January.
On top of that, he’s accused of driving a car with no licence or insurance, and he’s facing charges of failing to produce those documents when asked.
Mr Stokes, whose career saw him play up front for the likes of Arsenal, Sunderland and Celtic FC, appeared in court today on bail and there was no objection to him remaining on bail until December 14th when the DPP’s directions should be ready.
