Five people are being held by Gardaí over the attempted murder of a Dublin man last summer.
The 32-year-old man was shot a number of times in broad daylight when a lone gunman burst into his home in Coolock last May.
The victim has been known to to Gardaí for well over a decade, and had spent some time in prison.
Yesterday, Gardaí from Ballymun detained four men and a woman aged in their twenties, thirties and forties.
They're being held at separate garda stations under section 50 of the criminal justice act.
They can be questioned for up to seven days.
