570 jobs are to go at a pharmaceutical plant on the northside.
MSD in Swords say they’re ceasing their operations there by 2017.
Staff at MSD were called into a meeting by bosses to be told the company are pulling out of the area by 2017 with the loss of 570 jobs.
The first of the job losses – 170 of them – will happen next year with the rest happening over the next three.
The IDA have issued a statement saying they’ll work with the company to find a buyer for the plant before it closes in 4 years time.
It comes as 360 jobs are on the line after A-Wear went into receivership.
The clothing retailer closed all 40 of their stores today and will make a decision on which ones will open tomorrow.
