The actor Frank Kelly who was best known for playing the part of Father Jack in the Father Ted TV series has died.
He passed away on the 18th anniversary of Dermot Morgan's death. The pair played opposite each other as Father Jack and Father Ted in the hit Irish TV comedy.

Kelly, who more recently played a role in Emmerdale, was diagnosed with Parkinson's last year. At the time he said he was determined to live life to the full despite the debilitating condition.
So Father Ted and Father Jack die on the same date, eighteen years apart.
