The TrócaireLive mini-festival is on this evening in Dublin.
This is the fourth year of the event that highlights Trócaire’s campaigning work throughout the world and thanks their volunteers.
Some of Ireland’s most popular home-grown and international musicians and DJs will come together for the mini-festival in The Grand Social, 35 Lower Liffey Street, Dublin 1.
Admission to TrócaireLive is free of charge before 7pm and €10 after 7pm, with proceeds going to Trócaire.
Daithí, Colours Afrobeat Foundation and The Eskies will headline this year’s event.
They will be joined by The Animators; Ugandan folk singer Justine Nantale; Soul-Folk-Alternative artist Yong Buddha; Nigerian drumming group Talking Drums; Groovement Soul DJs; and White Collar Boy (DJ Set).
Radio presenter Dan Hegarty will MC proceedings for the second year in a row.
Speaking ahead of the gig, Joanne McGarry, Campaigns Officer with Trócaire, said:
“This is the fourth year of TrócaireLive and we’re delighted to have such a great line-up of musicians on board to kick off the summer festival season.
"The specially commissioned street art pieces are taking pride of place in the roof garden and we’ll have a photography exhibition inside the venue too.
"We’ll also have some lovely food on offer from Argentino Grill, so there really will be something for everyone.
“We’ve had a huge turn-out in previous years and, with the strong line-up for this year’s event, we’re hoping for the same again. It promises to be a great event.”
