Two large oil slicks have been spotted in the sea, there suspected to be from the Malaysian airlines plane which disappeared late last night.

The Boeing 777, carrying 239 people from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, vanished from radar screens.

It's thought most of the passengers were from China, with three people also confirmed to be from the US.

Journalist Malcolm Moore is in the Chinese capital and says relatives are anxiously waiting for news.
