Gale force winds are expected this weekend as Storm Ciara heads our way.
Met Éireann says unsettled weather is expected to develop across Ireland and Northwest Europe. The change will happen as very cold air sweeps out of Canada into the North Atlantic.
Wet and windy conditions will move in on Friday.
A further spell of heavy rain is expected on Saturday and this will be joined by strong and gusty winds with a possibility of Status Yellow warnings, according to meteorologists.
Conditions are expected to deteriorate further on Sunday as Storm Ciara tracks to the north of Ireland.
Weather conditions will turn increasingly disturbed over Ireland this weekend as the jet-stream over the north Atlantic intensifies steering a series of low pressure systems towards Ireland. #StormCiara
