Counting has begun in election 2020, with an exit poll showing a three way tie.
5300 people leaving polling stations on Saturday were asked who they voted for.
The Ipsos MRBI poll was carried out on behalf of RTÉ, TG4, the Irish Times and UCD.
It suggests a three-way tie between Fine Gael, Sinn Féin and Fianna Fáil - all on 22% support.
The exit poll puts the Greens on 7.9%, Labour on 4.6% and the Social Democrats on 3.4%.
Solidarity People Before Profit are on 2.8%, while Independents and others have 14.5% of the vote.
If accurate, it means we could be facing into the most fractured Dáil in decades.
The exit poll also indicates support for Fianna Fail is weakest in Dublin, while support for the Greens is strongest in Dublin.
Support for Sinn Fein is strongest among younger voters.
Many older people surveyed said they voted for Fine Gael of Fianna Fail.
The majority of the 5300 people surveyed said health was their biggest concern when casting their vote.
