Gardai in Sligo are appealing for information after a man was seriously injured when his house was burgled last month.
73 year old Thomas Niland, is in a critical condition after three men broke into his home, on the N59 in Skreen, on the evening of the 18th of January.
Mr Niland received serious head and upper body injuries and is now on life support in hospital.
It's believed his attackers arrived and escaped in a car.
Superintendent Mandy Gaynor, is appealing to anyone with information to come forward:
"There are people out there who know who was involved in this aggravated burglary and assault on Tom, an elderly man in his home."
"Thomas and his family deserve to have these criminals who carried out this heartless act brought to justice."
