A protest over the housing of asylum seekers in Dublin's north inner city saw the Port Tunnel blocked last night.
Yesterday the Minister for Integration ruled out closing the newly opened emergency accommodation centre in East Wall.
The former ESB office block is currently being used to house around a hundred asylum seekers, prompting numerous protests outside.
Last Friday Minister Roderic O'Gorman met with local residents groups but it hasn't stopped the demonstrations, which escalated overnight.
Protestors blocked vehicles from entering and exiting the Port Tunnel, leading to traffic being diverted in the area.
Due to an ongoing protest on the East Wall Road and Alexandria Road, Gardaí have enacted a traffic management operation in the area. A number of local diversions are currently in place. Expect traffic disruption in the area. pic.twitter.com/MWiLtHFTSt

Meanwhile, in a post on Twitter, the Love East Wall group says it's getting constant messages from residents who say they're feeling abandoned.
It says politicians must respect the concerns of locals, and not ridicule or attempt to belittle them.
