Revenue officers seized 33kg of herbal cannabis, worth an estimated €660 thousand at Dublin Airport today.
The drugs were discovered when officers stopped and searched the baggage of a passenger after a flight landed from New York.
Gardaí have arrested a man, age din his 20s, and he is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Dublin Garda Station.
The seizure was part of an intelligence-led operation, with the assistance of detector dog Blue.
Investigations into the discovery are ongoing.
