The long awaited regeneration of Dublin's historic fruit and veg market is to get underway this summer.
The €26 million revamp of the 127-year-old building in Smithfield will begin by June.
It's expected to be completed by the end of 2027 and comes six years after the facility off Capel Street was closed by Dublin city council.
The Irish Times reports it will include at least 80 stalls, along with a restaurant complex. The new market will be open seven days a week.
The regeneration was first proposed 23 years ago in 2002.
