€140,000 worth of drugs have been seized in Dublin's south inner city.
It was part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of drugs in the Dublin 8 area carried out by the District Detective Unit at Kevin Street Garda Station.
A search carried out yesterday uncovered the opioid painkiller Diamorphine, along with €8,000 in cash. Other items that are believed to be stolen property were also seized.
One man, aged in his 20s, was arrested during the search operation. He was taken to Kevin Street Garda Station and has since been released without charge.
A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
