The weather station at Dublin Airport has recorded the dullest July in 34 years.
There were just 104 hours of sunshine last month.
Meanwhile the airport saw 98.9 millimetres of rainfall in July. That compares with just 9 millimetres in May.

Meteorologist Gerry Murphy says last month wasn't great weather wise;
"July overall was quite an unsettled month not just in Dublin but indeed right across the country...all our stations had well above the average rainfall...there was over twice the amount of rainfall at Casement Aerodrome."
But the forecast is looking up. Met Éireann is predicting warm and dry conditions in the coming days.

Warm and dry with good spells of sunshine over the weekend. However the dry weather isn't expected to last with showers forecast for the early days of next week.
