The agency in charge of attracting overseas companies to set up here is denying they're being put off by Dublin's housing crisis.
IDA Ireland says it supported 134 foreign firms in creating 23,000 jobs here during 2018.
CEO Martin Shanahan says, despite our housing shortage, companies are happy to hire here.
"Investors are keenly aware of the fact there is a housing issue, but they're also keenly aware that it is top of the government's agenda to solve".
He said that "the figures today would indicate that it is not dissuading investors".
The Business Minister, Heather Humphreys, also said a lack of affordable places for workers to live is not an issue.
"Companies that are coming to Ireland obviously check out what's available when coming to Ireland".
"The pressures in Dublin are no different to those in any other city across the globe", she claimed.
230 thousand people are employed by IDA backed companies across Ireland, with more than half located outside of Dublin.
It's the highest number of people employed by IDA clients outside of the capital in the history of the organisation.
