The one way trail includes giant bees and other pollinators, as well as illuminated woodland scenes and caterpillar's journey to becoming a butterfly.
Dr Christoph Schwitzer, Director of Dublin Zoo, says his team is 'thrilled' to announce the theme.
"The award-winning event will highlight the importance of the world’s plant and animal kingdoms, something that is at the heart of everything we do here."
"We are excited to welcome all visitors this winter to enjoy the magical journey with us."
"We hope this year’s theme will inspire a passion for nature and a willingness to help.”
Wild Lights will open on October 28th and run until January 9th with all ticket sale funds going into the Zoo's day to day operations.
