Dublin ranks as the worst city in the world for returning expats to find affordable housing.
The InterNations Expat City Ranking 2018 survey has placed the Irish capital last out of 72 cities throughout the world when it comes to finance and housing.
42% of expats surveyed said housing was very hard to find, while 90% said it was unaffordable.
Meanwhile, the majority (70%) said they were not happy with the high cost of living in Dublin.
The capital does, however, rank more favourably (20th) when it comes to the 'getting settled' in the city.
Overall, Dublin is ranked 66th out of the 72nd cities examined - ahead of Paris and London, but lagging behind other European cities such as Stuttgart (65th) and Milan (63rd).
The poll is topped by Taipei and Singapore, while Riyadh, Jeddah and Rome make up the bottom three.
