Dublin west residents could be voting in a by-election on the same day as the local and European elections.
It's claimed the vote will be held on what's being described as "Super Friday" on May 23rd.
According to the Irish Independent, the TaoIseach is set to take a gamble and hold two by elections on the same day as voting in the Local and European elections.
Two Dail seats were left vacant after the resignation of Independent Deputy Patrick Nulty in Dublin West and the death of Fine Gaels Nicky McFadden in Longford-Westmeath.
Fine Gael believes it has a shot at the Dail seats with Labour less likely to be in with a chance.
It's thought that the writs to hold the votes will be moved when the Dail resumes next week.
