Dublin Town will retain its role in operating the Business Improvement District scheme.
Rate-payers have voted with 733 in favour and 476 against Dublin Town retaining responsibility for promoting the city, and taking care of street cleaning and Christmas lights.
Votes have been counted at City Hall today, with 1,209 valid votes, and 33 declared invalid.
A plebiscite of businesses is held every five years to determine if the organisation should continue to operate.
We note the endorsement provided by the business community in the democratic vote to renew DublinTown for a further term.
The business community voted on a detailed plan and the commencement of the implementation of that plan begins at 9am on the 21th April 2022.— weareDublinTown (@weareDublinTown) April 20, 2022
