A teenager has been found guilty of murdering a German student in Rialto.
Thomas Heinrich died after being stabbed three times during a fight with two young people outside his apartment.
In 2012, Thomas Heinrich was living on St. Anthony's Road while studying at Griffith College as part of an Erasmus arrangement with his own university.
He returned back to his apartment with some friends in the early hours of Dec 1st.
A few hours later, the 22-year-old died after being stabbed during a fight with two young people outside his flat.
Today, a 17-year-old boy, who can't be named because of his age, was found guilty of murdering the Munich native.
He was also found guilty of attacking his friend Robert Rinker who underwent surgery after suffering multiple stab wounds.
His co-accused Wesley Kelly of St. Anthony's Road, Rialto was also found guilty of assault causing harm to Mr. Rinker.
The jury will return tomorrow to consider whether he's also guilty of murdering Mr. Heinrich.
