Dubliners Imelda May and Glen Hansard are among the artists that will sing at tonight's State visit concert.
The cultural celebration takes place at the Royal Albert Hall as part of third day of the President's visit to the UK.
Michael D. Higgins will also tour a farm in Oxford and a stables in Newbury today.
Last night the President said the country still has to deal with elements of the economic crisis including the issue of emigration.
He added that the human cost of the crisis has to be addressed.
He also raised a toast to England in the world cup because the Irish soccer team won't be there.
