A group of Inner City parents say they're at their "wits' end" trying to access services for their kids with additional needs.
The Side by Side group is holding a meeting tonight at the Belvedere Youth Club, on Buckingham Street Lower at half 7 this evening.
It'll be attended by Sinn Féin Leader Mary Lou McDonald, Gary Gannon from the Social Democrats, Labour's Marie Sherlock and People Before Profit's Eoghan O’Ceannabhain.
The group will call on the HSE to invest in resources for children in in the North Inner City who have additional needs.
Niamh McDonald's son has been waiting four years for an assessment, which she says isn't good enough.
"We hear from our Minister for Finance...that there is a huge fund for a rainy day. For our children, it is raining right now. It's lashing, it's pouring. This is the rainy day".
"We're calling on this Government to come in, with a plan that has deliverables, that has dates, that has resources and will put out children first."
The group is also calling for more national resources, as 10,000 children are waiting on assessments of need and essential therapies nationwide.
