The average house price near a Luas or Dart station now stands at €439,000. That's €38,000 more than the cost of a similar property elsewhere in the city.
A new Daft dot.ie report into the cost of two and three beds near rail links has found those near Dart stations have the highest average cost, while homes near commuter rail stations have the lowest.
Raychel O'Connell from the property website says four out of the five most expensive properties are along the DART line; "So Dalkey would be €828,000, that's the average price. That follows closely with Sandymount, which is €826,00."
She goes on to say that "Beechwood on the green Luas line is the 4th most expensive that's at €783,000 and the five least expensive stations are along the Luas red line, with the least expensive being Cheeverstown at €207,000."
