A new Lord Mayor for Dublin will be elected tonight
Dublin City Council are voting in a new first citizen later and it's widely tipped to be North Inner City Independent Councillor Christy Burke.
It comes as newly elected councillors are to discuss whether Sinn Fein should hold the office of Lord Mayor in 2016, the centenary of the Easter Rising.
The role is usually rotated amongst parties and Sinn Fein are demanding the honour for the 1916 celebrations.
However some councillors have claimed they will hijack the 100th anniversary commemoration.
But outgoing Lord Mayor Oisin Quinn doesn't share that view:
