The manager of Dublin City Council says he wants to sell off €100 million worth of council-owned land.
Owen Keegan says a list of 14 sites will be presented to councillors at their first meeting of the New Year.
15 council works depots are also being considered for sale with other sites likely to be added to the list.
Under the plan, five sites in Ballymun, Ballymount, Dolphin's Barn and Chapelizod would be sold by this summer.
Shelbourne FC's home ground Tolka Park and the College of Music on Chatham Row among the most prominent.
It is hoped the sale would raise an estimated €12.2 million for cultural, sporting and recreational projects.
The rest would be sold in batches between then and the summer of 2022.
Unsuitable for Housing
Dublin City Council has agreed not to sell land unless there's proof the return would be worth more than the potential social and economic benefit of building new homes.
Mr Keegan told the Irish Times most of the sites have been "idle for many years" and said housing wasn't "appropriate" for the sites.
The list will be presented to councillors at their first full meeting of 2020, on Monday evening.
