An outdoor Christmas market is going to open in the grounds of Dublin castle for the first time.
From December 12th, 30 traditional alpine stalls will be selling crafts, gifts and treats.
The items for sale will include wooden crafts, jewellery, skincare and pet gifts.
There will also be artisan edible gifts available, including cheese and hampers, chutneys and brandy butter.
Christmas at the Castle will run from December 12th to the 22nd.
There will also be evening carol singing, and free access to the State apartments.
The rooms will be free to visit from 6-8pm, which will be decorated for Christmas.
There will be a vintage carousel on site for children while there will be horse carriage rides around the Castle grounds and gardens at weekends.
Families can also visit the gothic revival Chapel Royal, the setting for the Castle’s handmade Neapolitan Baroque crib.
Dublin's Lord Mayor, Paul McAuliffe, said it "will be a lovely event for all the family and I’m looking forward to visiting with my two children."
