An investigation is underway after a Dublin Bus driver was allegedly threatened with a gun in the city centre.
He wasn't injured when the gun was reportedly pointed at him on Mountjoy Square shortly before 11 on Friday night.
Gardai say they received a report of an alleged incident involving a suspected gun.
The Irish Mirror has reported that the Dublin Bus driver suffered the ordeal as he was sitting in the bus before the start of his shift.
Gardai say they are continuing to investigate.
In a statement, a spokesperson says: "Gardaí received a report of an alleged incident involving a suspected firearm that occurred on Mountjoy Square in Dublin 1 shortly before 11:00pm on Friday night 18th April 2025.
"No injuries were reported. Investigations are ongoing."
