Some passangers at Dublin airport are experiencing delays of up to an hour.
Dublin airport have said that many Aer Lingus trans-Atlantic flights have been affected by the strong gusty winds.
The airport has urged passengers to get in contact with their airline.
Although winds are easing, met eireann have said it will remain quite breezy.
Met Éireann forecaster Eoin Mc Sherlock says that Leinster can expect the worst of the bad weather this evening.
