More than 4,000 passengers arrived into Dublin Airport in the first three days of this week.

Figures show around a third of those entering the country on Monday and Tuesday were returning from a holiday.

Flights are still in operation from some holiday destinations such as Lanzarote and Malaga.

The Irish Independent reports that flights from the UK are the most common coming into Ireland this month, followed by the Netherlands and then France.
